How to use: unsoaked chips ignite quickly and only give off smoke for a short period of time. That’s why you should soak the chips in water for an hour to increase the release of smoke. And yes, my fiery friend, that’s exactly what you want. Drain the wood chips before use. Make sure there is smoke in the barbecue before putting your food on the grill to create the best results. Do not place the food directly above the wood chips. Always grill with a closed lid to make sure the smoke can penetrate the food well. For the best results, use the chips in combination with a smoke tube. Your chips will smolder for ages and you can BBQ like a pro! Add the amount of wood chips to your liking.
When using a coal barbecue: use the wood chips in an aluminum tray, smoker box or scatter them directly between the charcoal covered with ash.
When using a gas barbecue: use the wood chips in an aluminum tray or smoker box.
